Echoplant Recording Studios

Completed in the fall of 2022, this tracking room upgrade marked a complete transformation — leaving little trace of the original design. The facility was first designed in the 1990s by Vancouver industry legend John Vrtacic and operated for years as Vogville Recording before writer/producer Ryan Worsley took over and rebranded it as Echoplant Recording Studios.

With support from a Creative BC grant, MDRN stripped the room back to its shell and rebuilt it with a more comprehensive and calculated acoustic treatment plan. Low-end management was a primary focus, resulting in a space with greater control, definition, and clarity across the spectrum.

The newest evolution of this room not only elevates accuracy and translation, but also establishes a creative atmosphere that inspires performance — ensuring Echoplant continues its legacy as one of Vancouver’s premier recording spaces.
