NOVA Studios – ATMOS Upgrade

We completed the first phase of the NOVA Studios redesign and build in 2019. The original two-channel playback system quickly established itself as one of Vancouver’s premier mixing environments, setting a new benchmark for the local industry. The latest upgrade — a full spatial audio array built to Dolby Atmos specification — takes the room to an entirely new level.

To achieve balance and accuracy, an additional ATC SCM100 center channel was introduced, ensuring proper visual alignment and power distribution. Low-frequency extension was reinforced with a third 15″ Rythmik Audio subwoofer, while Neumann KH310 surrounds provided clarity and translation across the field. Overhead, KH150s completed the immersive array with precision and detail.

The result is a room that not only meets the demands of modern Atmos mixing but defines what an elite studio in Vancouver should deliver.
