The Umbrella Factory

I was happy to get the call from local colleague Ron Vrmulin to bring another one of his very cool designs to life for another musicain that I have admired for many years – All-star artist/writer/prodcer Josh Ramsay of the Canadian pop  outfit Marianas Trench.

This facility is a complete redesigned renovation of the space that he  has been working out of for many years.  Anyone who has follwed his career and is familiar with Josh’s music knows that he is big on string orchestration and HUGE drum sounds – whch is why the new tracking room is over twice the size of the original. The entire facility is spacious, bright and full of every piece of classic gear you could imagine – which Josh fully utilizes in the making of his records. A truly inspiring environment.

Ron’s tracking room design is reminiscent of an art gallery vibe, with plenty of  components that add a very unique character to this studio’s identidy.

We’re hoping that the content that Josh turns out of this evolution of the space will be as wildly succesfull as the original.
